Appointments
Our GP practice has now moved to a total triage system. This means that all requests for appointments must be made via the phone or via eConsults through our website.
Each request will be passed to a doctor for assessment. You may find we treat you by phone, video link, or we may ask you to come into the practice for a face-to-face consultation if we think it’s necessary.
You might see a doctor or nurse who you are not familiar with but they will still be able to securely access your records.
Urgent Care Appointments
For an emergency on-the-day appointment, our phone lines open at 8am. The Medical Call Handers will ask for a brief description of why you need to be seen in order to offer you the best options.
If the Duty Doctor deems your problem as urgent for today you will be contacted by one of our Urgent Care Administrators to make arrangements for either a face-to-face appointment or a telephone call.
Please note we do not do emergency on the day appointments for medication or sick notes.
Routine Appointments
A Routine Appointment is for 15 minutes, which is enough time to discuss 1 problem.
These appointments are best suited for long standing conditions or problems that don’t need treatment right urgently.
If you arrive late for your appointment, you might not be seen and may be offered another appointment so as not to cause delay for other patients.
Telephone Appointments
We also offer telephone appointments available with GPs. Unfortunately, we cannot give a time when such calls might be made. These calls may take place at any time throughout the day which they are booked on.
Please provide the best contact number for you at the time of booking as our clinician will only call once.
Please help us to help you and contact us if you need to cancel.
Extended Access
Need a weekend or evening appointment? The GP Extended Hours service is designed to provide patients with appointments outside core general practice hours for routine care.
We offer Saturday morning appointments and also late evening appointments on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. These appointments are designed for patients who work and who find it difficult to come to the surgery during the working week. Please note that these are GP appointments only and must be booked in advance.
